Sorry- my wife is calling but here is a quick probable fix- the fabric softener drawer normally has some sort of cover, which needs to be removed, and underneath is a pipe/tube down which the softener and water mix siphons. This tube gets blocked by gunge- a mix of powder and softener. Ours does! It has to be completely clear. Must go. Good luck.
